Acro Maia World Cup and MIAC

The U.S. won three gold medals at the 2026 Maia World Cup and Maia International Acro Cup (MIAC) in Portugal over the weekend.

The women’s pair of Sydney Padios (Moreno Valley, Calif./Incentive – AGT) and Willow Noble (Moreno Valley, Calif./Incentive – AGT) were best in their division of World Cup competition, winning combined gold with a 28.700. They topped the podium ahead of host-country Portugal in second (28.310) and a pair of Independent Athletes in third (28.100).

Also clinching gold was the men’s pair of Yaroslav and Vsevolod Ossolodkov (Beaumont, Calif./Incentive – AGT), who posted a score of 28.950 to finish ahead of two Independent Athlete pairs in second (28.530) and third (28.510).

The 13-19 women’s pair of Sophia Roberston (Riverside, Calif./Realis Gymnastics Academy) and Isabella Brookins (Sacramento, Calif./Realis Gymnastics Academy/Rodina Elite) won gold with a combined 27.150. The American duo won the gold over the Germany in second (26.040) and Portugal in third (25.490). Also active in final competition for the U.S. in Portugal were the 13-19 women’s group of Leesy Sarria (Gambrills, Md./International Elite), Gia Calo (Annapolis, Md./International Elite) and Dakota Martin (Upper Marlboro, Md./International Elite), who placed fourth in the combined final with a 27.590.


WAG International Gymnix

The junior women’s delegation in Canada took home four medals, including two gold, from the 2026 International Gymnix in Montreal.

The team of Espy Chang (Kirkland, Wash./Pacific Reign Gymnastics), Aulya Daniels (Lawrence, Kan./Carters Gymnastics Academy), Amariah Moore (Wilmington, Del./ First State Gymnastics) and Amia Pugh-Banks (Newport News, Va./World Class Gymnastics) won silver at the competition up north, placing second with a 150.533. Japan won the title just ahead of the U.S. with a 150.867 while Italy was third with a 149.200.

Individually, Daniels and Pugh-Banks each secured apparatus gold Sunday, with Daniels winning the floor exercise title (12.400) and Pugh-Banks the vault title (13.700). Moore paired her team silver with an all-around silver medal with a 50.533. Chang was 19th all-around (45.333).
