Mark your calendars for National Gymnastics Day, taking place Saturday, September 19, 2026! With USA Gymnastics membership booming and U.S. athletes and teams more successful than ever, there is so much to celebrate this #NGD2026!

Each year on National Gymnastics Day, USA Gymnastics clubs throughout the country are encouraged to provide fun and interactive activities, including open houses and free or low-cost introductory classes, to increase exposure to the sport.

At Your Club:

  • Visit the National Gymnastics Day website to find a range of resources to share with your club members, including a #NGD2026 certificate, several new activity pages, and coloring pages.
  • Encourage athletes and coaches to list their favorite moments from their own recent practices and competitions, and what they loved about those moments.
  • Celebrate the concept of teamwork and talk about how it helps athletes excel!
  • Host an open house to encourage your community to find out more about your club and the sport!

Social Media Promotion:

  • Clubs who requested an #NGD2026 banner before the August 1 deadline will receive one in the mail next week to display in their gym.
  • If you requested a banner: Snap a photo or video of your athletes, coaches and/or parents with the banner and post on your public Instagram, X, Facebook and/or TikTok accounts on Saturday, September 19, using the hashtag #NGD2026. We encourage you to have fun and be creative!
  • If you did not request a banner: You can still celebrate on your social media channels, without a banner! You may also download a PDF of the banner graphic and print it yourself. When you post (with or without a banner), be sure to use the hashtag #NGD2026!
  • Clubs who celebrate and share their excitement about #NGD2026 on social media are eligible for one of six prizes that have been donated by USA Gymnastics partners Nike, ($500 gift cards to three different clubs), GK Elite ($1,000 wholesale store credit), and Spieth America (one boys prize pack of an air mat board w/blower and wooden parallette bars; one girls prize pack of a wooden pirouette bar and a pink panel mat).

All clubs with active, public social media accounts on Instagram, X, Facebook and/or TikTok are eligible to enter. The promotion ends Saturday, September 19, at 11:59 p.m. ET. Only USA Gymnastics member clubs in good standing are eligible for the giveaways.
