FRANKFURT, Germany (August 14, 2026) – Rin Keys (Porter Ranch, Calif./Buro Gymnastics) and Megan Chu (San Diego, Calif./Pacific Stars Rhythmic Academy) each put on an impressive showing Friday, finishing in the top 15 all-around at the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships.

Keys ranked safely within the top 10 with her eight-place finish (114.500), improving on each of her apparatus scores from qualifying. The three-time U.S. all-around champion scored no less than a 27.900 on every apparatus Friday, with a 28.650 on hoop, 27.900 on ball, 29.300 on clubs, and 28.650 on ribbon.

Chu wasn’t far behind in 11th with a 113.150, moving up a spot from her 2025 all-around finish. In Friday’s final, she bested her qualifying scores on hoop (29.850), clubs (28.750) and ribbon (28.600), adding a 25.950 on ball to round out her total.

Reigning Olympic and two-time World all-around champion Darja Varfolomeev of Germany won her third-straight all-around World title Friday with a 119.500, with Stiliana Nikolova of Bulgaria second (117.600) and Sofia Raffaeli of Italy third (117.550).

Individual competition in Germany will take a pause with group action beginning Saturday, August 15 at 5 a.m. ET for the all-around final. The Senior National Group will compete on five balls and three hoops/two clubs with Goda Balsys (Northbrook, Ill.), Kristina Lee (Woodridge, Ill.), Alaini Spata (Glen Ellyn, Ill.), Aurora Sullivan (Los Angeles, Calif.), Kalina Trayanov (Deerfield, Ill.) and Natalia Ye-Granda (San Diego, Calif.) taking the floor.
