Joscelyn Roberson announced Monday that she has entered the transfer portal. She has two years of eligibility remaining.

The All-American has been a standout for the Gymbacks the past two years. She qualified as an individual to nationals last season and was key to the team’s deep postseason run this year, ending with an appearance in the national semifinals. Arkansas finished No. 7 to finish the season.

An all-arounder, Roberson’s specialities are beam and floor. She has earned career highs of 9.975 on both apparatus. During the 2026 season, Roberson was particularly automatic on beam, only scoring below a 9.900 on four occasions and scoring a 9.950 or higher 10 times.

An alternate for the 2024 U.S. Olympic team, Roberson has continued to train and compete elite since starting college. Last fall, she earned her first individual world medal with a bronze on vault despite less-than-stellar conditions.

Arkansas assistant coach Chris Brooks has served as her elite coach since she joined the Razorbacks. Roberson plans to continue elite, so she will need to go to a program with a coach or coaches capable of handling that delicate balance.

Roberson’s former club elite coach Cecile Landi is the head coach at Georgia, making the Bulldogs a top prospect. Roberson would figure to be an immediate contributor for the GymDogs.

Joscelyn Roberson’s transfer portal announcement

Roberson shared the following statement on social media on Monday:

“Hog Nation:

From the moment I stepped foot in Fayetteville, your unwavering support has been the foundation that’s allowed me to pursue my dreams for the last two years. It’s been an honor to share my passion for gymnastics inside Bud Walton Arena with all of you. Thank you for always showing me love, respect, and kindness. I will cherish those memories forever.

After much thought, consideration, and prayer; I have decided to enter into the transfer portal. My decision comes from a place of love for all of you and respect for the University of Arkansas. Getting to know and be coached by Jordyn, Chris, Kyla, and Catelyn has been an absolute dream come true. I would like to thank them for everything they’ve done for me and understanding this difficult decision. I genuinely believe the program they are building is something special but it is time for me to close this chapter and move onto the next.

Thank you Fayetteville and Go Hogs,

Josc”
