FRANKFURT, Germany (August 13, 2026) – Americans Megan Chu (San Diego, Calif./Pacific Stars Rhythmic Academy) and Rin Keys (Porter Ranch, Calif./Buro Gymnastics) each punched their ticket to the all-around final Thursday, with both also qualifying to at least one apparatus final following Day 2 of the Rhythmic World Championships in Germany.

With strong performances at Festhalle Frankfurt, Chu scored an 84.650 to qualify sixth all-around Thursday afternoon, while Keys jumped from 23rd to 11th with an 83.500 thanks to solid scores on clubs and ribbon. The gymnasts’ best three scores qualified them through to Friday and results will reset for the final.

With qualifying complete, Chu will appear in three apparatus finals on Sunday. She took on hoop and ball on Thursday, scoring a 28.500 on hoop to advance to the final in eighth, and just missed out on the ball final after landing ninth with a 27.500 – where she will serve as first reserve. She also qualified to both the clubs (28.350) and ribbon (27.800) finals in seventh.

Keys will join Chu in the clubs final, qualifying sixth with a 28.400 to advance. She finished ninth on ribbon with a 27.750 to miss the final by just one spot and was named first reserve.

The individual all-around final is slated for Friday, August 14 at 10 a.m. ET. With the 2028 Olympic Games being held in Los Angeles, the U.S. already holds an individual Olympic quota spot for the event. If an American finishes in the top three of Friday’s competition, the U.S. will claim a second Olympic quota spot.
