INDIANAPOLIS (September 8, 2026) – For the 10th time in the event’s history, the Chicago area will host the country’s top women’s gymnasts at USA Gymnastics’ 2027 U.S. Classic, July 23-24 at NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates.
The 2027 U.S. Classic will play an important part in 2028 Olympic preparations, serving as the final women’s qualifying event to the 2027 Xfinity U.S. Gymnastics Championships.
NOW Arena hosted the most recent edition of a pre-Olympic year U.S. Classic in 2023, when Simone Biles and Suni Lee made their returns to elite gymnastics in front of a sold-out crowd. Lee, Jordan Chiles, Jade Carey and Katelyn Ohashi are among the stars who have already announced they are returning to the sport in pursuit of a 2028 Olympic berth.
“With the LA28 Games on the horizon, the 2027 U.S. Classic provides an early look into who may be vying for a spot on the team for LA,” said USA Gymnastics Chief Programs Officer Stefanie Korepin. “We are excited to return to Chicagoland and welcome fans with a sneak peek at pre-Olympic action.”
U.S. Classic boasts some of the most iconic gymnasts as champions at the event, including Biles, Aly Raisman, Nastia Liukin, Amanda Borden, Jaycie Phelps and Dominique Dawes, among many others.
The 2027 U.S. Classic will feature junior and senior competition, as well as hosting the Hopes Championships for elite-track gymnasts age 11-14. Additional information on the 2027 U.S. Classic is expected to be available in the coming weeks and can be found at usagymclassic.com. A tentative schedule of events is listed below.
