VAULT FINAL

9:33 am. Lisa Vaelen BEL VT: Handspring rudi, pikes it down immediately going into her flight, and stays pretty piked throughout but not enough to downgrade the D value. Legs are pretty crossed, chest down on the landing, small hop. 14.133 (5.4, 8.733)

Second vault is a Tsuk layout full, stuck! Form in the air is minor, legs glued, slightest knee bend, minor pike down before the landing. Gorg overall. 13.433 (4.4, 9.033)

13.983 average, into third!

9:29 am. Abigail Martin GBR VT: Yurchenko double full, this looks so much better than it did at Commonwealth Games. Knee bend and crossed ankles are relatively minor, has a nice hip stretch in the air until just before landing, pretty upright still though, hop back. 13.933 (5.0, 8.933)

Follows it up with a Lopez, mostly clean! Leg separation onto the table. Could use a slightly stronger block, but still looks mostly good in the air, hop on the landing. 13.466 (4.8, 8.666)

13.899 average pushes her into third place!

9:25 am. Anna Kalmykova RUS VT: Handspring rudi, camp, it’s piked from the start, hips open up slightly, but leg form is still a bit weak, bent knees and separation, lands with her chest pretty far down, hop on the landing. 13.966 (5.4, 8.566)

Next up is the Yurchenko 1.5, much cleaner. Legs are pretty glued, just some soft knees for the most part, step back on the landing but her body position is pretty upright. 13.333 (4.6, 8.733)

13.849 average, moves her into third place.

9:21 am. Charlize Mörz AUT VT: Handspring front layout half, SUPER clean, floats it off the table, maybe waits a half second too long to twist? Ends up with slight hip pike and is the tiniest bit short, taking a hop back. 13.566 (4.6, 8.966)

Next up is a Tsuk full, really nice push off the table, some leg separation in pre-flight, minor hip pike, great leg form, hop back. 13.300 (4.4, 8.900)

13.633 average.

9:19 am. Touch for the second half now! Can’t get over Schönmaier being a tenth behind Melnikova’s average score with 0.8 lower difficulty. Honestly her E for the Lopez should’ve been higher.

9:15 am. Greta Mayer HUN VT: Tsuk full, slight leg separation onto the table, pretty nice stretch in the air, gets the landing with her chest slightly forward and a small hop back. 13.400 (4.4, 9.000)

Yurchenko 1.5 for the second vault, a bit of leg form there, big step back on the landing. 13.300 (4.6, 8.700)

13.350 average.

9:11 am. Karina Schönmaier GER VT: Yurchenko double full, legs stay pretty glued throughout! Could tighten up her knee form a bit but honestly it’s not bad at all, the cleanest so far. Hop back. 14.033 (5.0, 9.033)

Second vault is a Lopez, leg form is SO nice in this, glued, almost no bend in her hips or knees at all, if anything she has a slight arch in her body line. Almost flares the landing a bit, hop back. Great work. 13.700 (4.8, 8.900)

14.066 average.

9:07 am. Csenge Bacskay HUN VT: Her arm is literally bionic, it has a big elbow brace and an ace bandage from wrist to armpit basically. Girl why. Yurchenko double full, form is pretty decent in the air, soft knees at times, rushes a bit in the twists and not super controlled on the landing, hop to the side OOB. 13.366 (5.0, 8.666, -0.3 ND)

Tsuk 1.5 for the second vault, leg separation in pre-flight, some soft form throughout, big leap forward on the landing. 13.333 (4.8, 8.633, -0.1 ND)

13.349 average.

9:00 am. Angelina Melnikova RUS VT: Yurchenko double full, crossed ankles in the air, mostly noticeable in the second twist, landing is a little short with her chest forward and a big step to the side, OOB. 13.800 (5.0, 8.900, -0.1 ND)

Why is there a million hour wait for her second vault? Her score has been in for forever. Okay, she’s finally going. Cheng, hip and leg form is a mess on and off the table, lands with her chest below horizontal, small hop back. 14.133 (5.6, 8.533)

14.166 average.

8:56 am. Touch warmups are underway for the first apparatus final today, which is vault! Watching on Eurovision Sport and live scores are on Smart Scoring.
