Former USA Gymnastics President & CEO Li Li Leung has been honored by the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee with its 2026 Torch Award. Leung received the award at the 2026 U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Assembly in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Established in 1965, the Torch Award is presented annually to an individual whose work has had a meaningful and lasting impact on the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic movements. Past recipients of the Torch Awards include filmmaker Bud Greenspan, U.S. President Gerald Ford, and speedskating legend Bonnie Blair.

“While my name may be on it, this recognition belongs to so many others,” Leung said. “To the athletes who trusted and challenged us to be better. To the staff, Board and gymnastics community who believed meaningful change was possible and worked tirelessly to make it happen. And to the partners and colleagues across the Olympic and Paralympic Movement who supported us throughout the journey. Thank you to everyone who played a role in this unforgettable chapter of my career and life.”

Leung received the award in recognition of her service as President and CEO of USA Gymnastics from March 2019 through December 2025, leading a cultural transformation of the organization that prioritized athlete health and wellness and revived USA Gymnastics’ leadership role in the Olympic movement.
