2026 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships: How to watch finals, schedule, and live stream

The 2026 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships have descended upon Frankfurt, Germany, with world champions set to be crowned from August 14-16.

The meet serves as the first LA28 qualifier for any of the gymnastics disciplines (artistic, rhythmic, trampoline), with the top three gymnasts in the individual all-around final and the top three groups in the group all-around final each earning a quota spot for their country. That means six Olympic berths will be awarded this weekend – three individual, three group.

Reigning Olympic champion Darja Varfolomeev (GER) is looking for her third consecutive all-around title – and to win it on home soil. She qualified to three of four event finals, shockingly missing out on the clubs final after a drop. She is the three-time reigning clubs world champion, but as the first reserve, she’ll only have the chance to make it four straight if another gymnast withdraws. Still, Varfolomeev will look to win her third straight title with both the ball and ribbon after qualifying first in those events. The 19-year-old qualified fourth with the hoop, where she is the 2023 world champion. Sofia Raffaeli (ITA) led hoop qualifying and is looking for her third world title with that apparatus after winning in 2025 and 2022.

The U.S. is represented individually by Megan Chu and Rin Keys, both of whom advanced to Friday’s all-around final. Chu qualified sixth, and Keys qualified 11th. Chu will also compete in the hoop, clubs, and ribbon finals and is the first reserve with the ball. Keys will compete in the clubs final and is the first reserve with the ribbon.

Group Olympic champion China will face tough competition from Russia, Germany, Spain, and Brazil as the five-women teams show routines with 5 balls and 3 hoops + 2 clubs.

Germany is looking to defend its team all-around title in front of an electric crowd at Frankfurt’s Festhalle.
