FRANKFURT, Germany – Eight of the country’s best senior rhythmic gymnasts head to Frankfurt this month for the 2026 Rhythmic World Championships August 12-16. Six of the eight athletes return to the event after competing for the U.S. at the 2025 World Championships.

Headlined by Rin Keys, the sole U.S. athlete to medal at a World Championships in the history of the sport, the American team will continue to aim for the medal stand in Europe. Keys hopes to build on her 2025 silver medal on ball, but she won’t be alone in her efforts. The 10-time U.S. champion will be joined by 2026 U.S. hoop champion and all-around silver medalist Megan Chu in individual competition.

The Senior National Group and 2026 U.S. group all-around gold medalists Goda Balsys, Kristina Lee, Alaini Spata, Aurora Sullivan, Kalina Trayanov and Natalia Ye-Granda take on group action. Greta Pavilonyte will be on site in Frankfurt as a replacement athlete for the group.

The 2026 Rhythmic World Championships also serve as one of the first qualifiers to the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. The top three individual and group all-around finishers in Germany will secure a quota spot for their country.
