8. Amanda Yap, Singapore, 13.000

1:38 pm. Courtney McGregor NZL UB: Toe full, a little late but not bad, Maloney to bail to toe shoot, good! Solid handstand before the blind change to straddle Jaeger, a bit too far to catch and she falls there. Layout dismount with a good landing. 10.800

1:37 pm. Georgia Godwin AUS VT: Tsuk full, don’t think it went the way she planned from the block because her knees were quite tucked and she usually does a 1.5? Hop back. 12.900

1:36 pm. Yeap Kang Xian MAS UB: Nice handstand before the toe full, leg separation and some arch, but connects to the Pak, Maloney to Gienger, a bit low but still clean on the latter. Blind change to front giant half. Dismounts with a full-in, hop back. 12.250

1:35 pm. Lia Monica Fontaine CAN VT: Yurchenko double full, pretty excellent! Big air and clean throughout, most notable is minor knee deductions in the second twist. Hop back. 14.300!

1:33 pm. Cadence Teh Zi Qi MAS UB: Endo half to Chow, doesn’t get the lift she needs and she knows it, drops down onto her feet. Back on and repeats it to connect to the Pak, Maloney to Gienger goes well, blind full, and a full-in dismount with a little bounce. 11.550

1:32 pm. Abigail Martin ENG VT: Yurchenko double full, noticeable crossed legs in the air and the landing isn’t quite as controlled as it could be, she’s still twisting a little and the landing is a bit jarring, hops back into a lunge to hold it. 13.600

1:30 pm. Ellee Cheetham SCO UB: Good handstand before the toe half (leg separation) to piked Jaeger, blind full with minor leg form, good on the Pak, Maloney to Gienger, leg separation before catching. Clean double tuck, a little too deep in the landing but she quickly hops up out of it. 11.700

1:29 pm. Shantae-Eve Amankwaah ENG VT: Yurchenko full, some pike down and the tiniest bit short when coming in for the landing but she still has a pretty good body position, just a bounce in place. 12.950

1:26 pm. Touch warmups for the second half now!

1:24 pm. Philippa Busuttil MLT UB: Maloney with some hip form, connects to Pak, good toe shoot, short handstand before the giant into the Gienger, some leg separation there upon catching, clear hip half finished slightly late and some elbow bend going back into handstand, clear hip full had some messy leg form, into the layout dismount, lots to deduct in there but good getting through it! 9.750

1:23 pm. Elena Tan SGP UB: Big Gienger, Pak is nice, toe shoot, blind full is a bit late, to layout dismount. 11.000

1:22 pm. Amanda Yap SGP VT: Mostly clean Yurchenko full, big hop back. 13.000

1:20 pm. Emily Roper WAL VT: Yurchenko full, really clean in the air, some minor pike down before the landing, which just had a small hop back. 13.300

1:18 pm. Naveen Daries RSA UB: Toe full to Maloney to Gienger, very nice! Blind change to straddle Jaeger, a little short on the handstand before the bail to toe shoot, just a layout dismount. Nice job. 12.600

1:17 pm. Ellie Black CAN VT: Tsuk 1.5, great block! Minor hip and knee form in the air, but lands well with a solid body position and just takes a step forward. 13.850

1:16 pm. Crystelle Lake SCO UB: Toe full was a little iffy, but gets it to the van Leeuwen, some leg separation there. Gets the straddle Jaeger and Pak (some foot form), Maloney to Gienger, leg separation before catching. Blind change to double front, great form in the air, step on the landing. 13.250

1:15 pm. Ruby Evans WAL VT: Yurchenko double full, really big on the block, mostly clean in the air, the most minor knee bend near the end, big hop back on the landing. 14.100

1:14 pm. Zelmé Daries RSA UB: Maloney with some leg separation, connects well to a Gienger. Toe half to lovely piked Jaeger! Bail, toe full, a little late but mostly clean, great handstand before the toe shoot, caught a bit close but no muscle out of it. Excellent double layout! Fantastic routine. 12.600

1:12 pm. Breanna Scott AUS VT: Lovely Yurchenko full, clean in the air, big hop back on the landing. 13.100

1:10 pm. Touch wrapping up shortly. We’ll get Breanna Scott up first on vault and Zelmé Daries up first on bars. I think with the two at a time format we’ll get to see every routine!

1:07 pm. Should be moving into touch warmups soon. I’d say closer to a 1:10 pm start time, maybe a couple of minutes later!

1:04 pm. Athletes are being introduced now!

1:01 pm. The broadcast has begun! Athletes should be introduced shortly and I’d guess we’ll see action around 1:08-1:10 pm ish after intros and touch warmups.

12:56 pm. The broadcast is set to start in about five minutes!

The only change from the qualification list is Zelmé Daries of South Africa in for teammate Caitlin Rooskrantz. Unfortunately Rooskrantz has been under the weather and thought it was best to skip today’s competition, but it will be fun to see Daries competing alongside her sister Naveen, who also qualified.

Live scores are here.
