USA Gymnastics welcomes Matthew Kent as chief financial officer, effective June 9. In his role, he oversees all financial reporting functions of the organization, developing and implementing financial strategies that align with organization’s strategic goals.
INDIANAPOLIS (June 9, 2026) – USA Gymnastics welcomes Matthew Kent as chief financial officer, effective June 9. In his role, he oversees all financial reporting functions of the organization, developing and implementing financial strategies that align with organization’s strategic goals. Areas of oversight include internal and external financial reporting, cash management, budget preparation and working with external auditors to prepare audited financial statements and tax returns.
Kent most recently served as CFO and deputy director of planning and administration at the Indiana Department of Administration (IDOA) for nearly nine years. He previously was the assistant director of capital and general government with the Indiana State Budget Agency, having held managerial and account positions in the private sector from 2001-2012.
He received a master’s degree in policy analysis from Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis in 2015 and a Bachelor of Science in business management and administration from Indiana University Fort Wayne in 2001.
