The U.S. rhythmic delegation posted top marks Sunday as the 2026 Junior Pan American Championships and Tournament kicked off with qualifying rounds.

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil (May 31, 2026) – The U.S. rhythmic delegation posted top marks Sunday as the 2026 Junior Pan American Championships and Tournament kicked off with qualifying rounds.

In championship competition, Anna Filipp (Santa Clarita, Calif./Burlo Gymnastics) and Josephine Weber (Woodland Hills, Calif./Rhythmic Academy of Los Angeles) were first and sixth in the all-around standings, with Filipp first (50.400) and Weber ranking sixth (45.500). Filipp and Izabella Oleynik (Los Angeles, Calif./California Rhythms) also secured spots to the hoop and ball finals with their performances. Filipp qualified first on both hoop (25.650) and ball (24.750), while Oleynik advanced to ball in second (23.750) and to the hoop final in third (24.500).

In tournament competition, Gloria Li (Arcadia, Calif./Aspire School of Gymnastics) and Viktoria Bukareva (Valley Glen, Calif./Burlo Gymnastics) were top qualifiers on their respective apparatus. Li was best on ball with a 23.250, while Bukareva took the top spot on hoop with a 24.200.

Qualifying continues Monday, June 1, with clubs and ribbon action in the tournament at 8:30 a.m. ET followed by championship competition at 10:15 a.m. ET.
