The Countdown Is On!

It’s hard to believe we’re already nearing the postseason. The past two weeks brought some huge routines — here are a few that stood out.

5. William and Mary’s Luke Tully – High Bar

I got to see this one in person, so I’m a little biased! But honestly, this was one of the cleanest high bar routines I’ve seen in a while.

4. Illinois’ Brandon Dang – Pommel Horse

It’s about time we gave Brandon his flowers. He’s one of the top pommel horse workers in the NCAA and somehow makes one of the hardest events look effortless.

3. Michigan’s Carly Bauman – Bars

Carly’s been a consistent presence on Michigan’s lineup this season, and this routine was no different. I expect her to keep the momentum going as we head into the postseason.

2. Selena Miranda-Harris – Beam (10.0)

I had to give a shoutout to our Week 10 Gymnast of the Week. This routine was simply gorgeous at an extremely close meet against the LSU Tigers where the Gators came out on top. Beam’s already a scary event, so props to her for not only delivering under pressure but completely owning the event in such a tight competition.

1. Ohio State’s JJ Coleman – Floor (10.0)

The first 10.0 on floor from a Buckeye since 2003.  Wow!

Team USA takes silver at the American Cup

The American Cup made its return this past weekend! After a meet full of mistakes and setbacks across all teams, it stayed close until the very end, but China ultimately came out on top. Team USA put up a strong fight and walked away with the silver.
