Junior Women – Rotation 4
🕐 1:42 PM ET — Sydney Williams goes on bars
Van Leeuwen to start out. Straddle 1/2 to endo to Jeager. Bail to toe shoot, nice position on the bail. Hip circle to stalder full. Nicely through her dismount. Shows some nice difficulty here with that endo skill. 13.050 and moves into second on bars.
🕐 1:39 PM ET — Anslee McCauley finishes on floor
Popa to start. Not the most height on her full in, bit of an ankle stinger. Fully crashes the back 1.5 to double tuck, just didn’t get a good set out of the 1.5 unfortunately. Front tuck through to back 2.5, sits that down as well. Fatigue starting to show after a long day, but the pieces are there for a nice routine.
🕐 1:37 PM ET — Kylie Smith looks to secure title on bars
Stalder 1/2. Catches the Jeager nicely. Stalder 1/1 to Pak. Van Leeuwen is a struggle but catches with her fingertips. Full twisting double layout is the hardest dismout we’ve seen today. Should be enough to easily secure the title for her. 13.600 and ahead of Pugh-Banks by well over a point.
🕐 1:35 PM ET — Addalye VanGrinsven shows off Yurchenko 1.5
VanGrinsven hit a nice Yurchenko 1.5 as her second vault. Scaramone Quinn pointed out vault difficulty as a place the US team needs to improve, and this was one of the harder vaults we saw today. Ends up counting a 13.150 for her first vault, bringing her to 50.500 on the day.
🕐 1:33 PM ET — Sofie Davytan redeems tough day on beam
Candle mount. Wolf turn 2/1 is solid. Back handspring to layout stepout, fights to keep it on the beam. Front aerial to split to straddle is lovely. Side aerial.
